How to Join

To join please e-mail capitaltarot@gmail.com with the following information:

•          Name
•          A short description of your tarot reading knowledge and experience
•      How did you hear about the Capital Tarot Society?
•      Do you live in the Washington, D.C. Metro area?  If not, how are you connected to CTS?
•         Why you are interested in joining the Capital Tarot Society?

We will get back to your e-mail promptly.  If we believe it's a good fit you will receive information on our meeting location and an invite to join our private mailing list.

Not sure if you’re advanced enough?  We only require a basic understanding of the tarot.   A basic understanding of the tarot includes:

• Knowing the basic meanings and names of the 22 Major Arcana
• Knowing the general meanings of the four suits, but not necessarily each individual card, and
• Having a basic understanding of how to lay the cards out in a spread

If you’re not quite there yet, don’t dismay!  We have many helpful links on our resources page to help you learn, and once you’re ready you can apply to join.

Does it Cost Anything? We do not require members to pay dues and we do not take contributions.  You are asked to pay for your own lunch, and we also ask that members chip in from time to time to purchase supplies and thank you gifts and to make donations to local charities.

Still not sure it’s right for you?  Membership to the Capital Tarot Society is no-strings-attached. You are not required to make any commitments and are welcome to attend a meeting or two to see if it's a good fit.
